Hand-Hammered Copper Mixing Bowls by Sertodo
These hand-hammered copper mixing bowls belong to a long culinary tradition in which the surface of the vessel is chosen as carefully as its shape. Unlined solid copper is especially useful when whisking egg whites, and the sturdy stainless steel handles provide a secure place to hold each bowl while working. The rounded form also serves beautifully when the mixing itself is part of the pleasure of preparing a meal.
Three individual capacities create a useful progression from smaller preparations to more generous batches. A matching set contains all three, their curved surfaces and mellow copper making an attractive group within easy reach on an open kitchen shelf.
“I enjoy kitchen tools that allow the preparation to be done properly and look entirely at home on an open shelf. The smallest copper bowl is useful for a few egg whites; a larger size makes more sense when several people are coming to lunch.”
