Paint Palette with Paint Tube Porcelain Limoges Box

A small artist's palette with a tube of paint resting on it brings the painter's whole toolkit into one porcelain piece. It was hand-painted in Limoges, France, a Limoges box for anyone who thinks in color.

Ready to Mix

A palette and a fresh tube of paint signal the start of something new, that moment before the first brushstroke. This piece captures that anticipation in a form small enough for any shelf. Every box is decorated by hand, so the colors and finish differ slightly from one to the next.

• Pairs with paint tube, palette and brush, and easel pieces

Brushstrokes and Kilns

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after their white porcelain body has been fired, so a palette piece carries a little extra meaning: it is a painted tribute to painting itself. Give it to an artist opening a studio, a gallery owner, or a friend who just signed up for a first painting class. It suits an easel shelf, a gallery desk or a sunny studio windowsill.
